Tuesday, Sept. 26-Students applied their understanding of the 'Lost Colony' to a theory activity. I posted four theories that have been suggested as to what happened with the settlers. The students chose one, and, in partners, argued why that theory was true. They used examples of material we covered in class.
Speaking of which, here is a link to a recent story about clues that could lead to solving the mystery of the 'Lost Colony: www.witn.com/content/news/Bertie-County-site-with-clues-to-fate-of-fabled-Lost-Colony-may-be-saved-387937162.html
We also went through a slide show I created. This highlights Roanoke Island today, consisting of the Town of Manteo! Attached is the slide show. Enjoy!
